In view of the current scarcity of tests for the Corona virus, the Board of Governors of the American Chamber of Commerce in BiH, together with its members, actively participated in the procurement, transportation and delivery of 150,000 tests to the FBIH Government, which the Government paid and ordered.
This action also resulted in the donation of two rapid RNA extraction instruments. Two devices called Nextractor® NX-48, Genolution’s company for the extraction and rapid isolation of DNA or RNA from different samples. Using Nextractor® speeds up the process of obtaining COVID-19 test results, as it cleans up to 48 samples at a time in 10 minutes. Given the length of time the test results take, the donation of the two devices will help get the results as quickly as possible.
In the upcoming period, the American Chamber of Commerce in BiH will donate necessary medical supplies to hospitals across the country, with the aim of combating the COVID – 19 pandemic. The Chamber’s complete campaign to raise funds necessary for the procurement of medical supplies for hospitals in BiH will be implemented in coordination with UNDP, which has an adequate picture of the needs of hospitals throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina
