Ten American Chambers in the South East Europe (Croatia, Albania, Kosovo, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Hungary, Montenegro, Romania, Slovenia, Serbia and Macedonia) have come together to change and reinvent the region to make it more appealing for investors. NEW SEE 2015 is all about new vision and a single economic space, which is a market of 55 million people.

For Bosnia & Herzegovina, this initiative is an upgrading point. For a long period of time Bosnia & Herzegovina is ranked next to Macedonia as the poorest country in the former Yugoslavia with prominent problems such as political instability, corruption, high rate of unemployment, which is why Bosnia and Herzegovina needs a new and improved way to present itself as a competitive and desirable country for investment. The possibility to do this lays in the initiative NEW SEE 2015, which will be implemented through two synchronized activities:

NEW SEE web platform will contain all the important information about the situation in the participating countries of the NEW SEE initiative with the aim of informing potential investors. The web platform will not only provide these and similar information, it will enable a two-way platform dialogue between the private sector and respective governments.

NEW SEE Investment Forum, a high level meeting that shall gather all the leaders of  the ten participating countries, US and other international investors, economists, as well as representatives of the US State Department, European Union, IMF, World Bank, etc. The first ever conference of the NEW SEE initiative will be held in Belgrade in March 2015.

The whole SEE region is often viewed as a high potential geographic region, rich in talent and resources but still very dysfunctional in business terms. With the NEW SEE initiative, the bad perception could be changed, with the slogan – SEE THE POTENTIAL, where the initiative will highlight the potential that this region offers.
