The AmCham BiH Ethics & Compliance Committee has launched a new cycle of activities through the Ethics & Compliance Road Trip initiative, aimed at showcasing best practices in ethics and compliance within companies operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The first visit within this initiative took place on November 3, 2025, at Carlsberg BH, a member of the Committee, where participants had the opportunity to learn how the company builds a culture of ethical business and compliance through everyday processes and internal communication with employees.
During the meeting, Carlsberg presented its comprehensive compliance program, which includes: active management engagement in promoting ethical values, annual risk assessments in the areas of anti-bribery and corruption, competition law, data protection, and trade sanctions, continuous employee training, and a Speak Up system for reporting irregularities. Special emphasis was placed on Carlsberg’s approach to compliance as an ongoing process that connects all organizational levels and reinforces a culture of integrity.
The discussion also addressed the challenges companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina face in the field of ethics and compliance, as well as opportunities for joint initiatives that could further strengthen a culture of transparency and integrity in the business community.
AmCham BiH extends its gratitude to Amir Tobudić and the Carlsberg BH team for their hospitality, openness, and willingness to share experiences and practices that can inspire other AmCham members.
The visit was attended by members of the Ethics & Compliance Committee: Ezmana Turković (Marić&Co.), Senada Merdžanović (Coca-Cola HBC B-H), and Mila Crnogorac Bajić (Net Consulting).
This marks only the first stop of the AmCham BiH Ethics & Compliance Road Trip – in the coming months, the Committee will continue visiting other companies that actively develop their ethics and compliance programs, with the goal of highlighting real-world examples that promote responsible business conduct and transparency.
