On Tuesday, May 6th, alumni members of the Leader Roots Club gathered at the Marriott Hotel in Sarajevo for a special session dedicated to personal growth and leadership development. This event, the second of its kind for the alumni community, focused on exploring and adopting the "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" through a structured and interactive workshop led by Rešad Rovčanin, leadership development expert and trainer.
During the session, alumni had the opportunity to engage in practical exercises and share personal experiences to examine their behavior patterns, identify internal motivators, and reflect on which habits support or hinder them in their daily professional lives. The focus was on adopting habits that foster proactivity, clarity of personal goals, prioritization, and building strong relationships based on trust.
It was precisely this openness to growth and willingness to challenge old paradigms that marked the gathering, underscoring the strength of connection between club members and the importance of investing in a young leadership community.
Rešad Rovčanin, the session’s facilitator, reflected on the experience:
“It was a true pleasure to spend time with such a thoughtful and engaged group of young leaders. I was impressed by their openness, questions, and willingness to reflect on their own leadership practices. In today’s fast-changing environment, one of the most important commitments any leader can make is to keep learning. Leadership is not a fixed skill — it’s a continuous journey that requires curiosity, self-awareness, and intentional development. I encourage each participant to continue investing in their growth, both professionally and personally. The most effective leaders are not those who have all the answers, but those who never stop asking the right questions.”
Through this event, the Leader Roots Club reaffirms its mission—not just as an educational platform, but as a space that nurtures community, support, and the exchange of ideas among generations of young leaders shaping the future of the business community in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
