Representatives of the Board of Directors and the Executive Office of AmCham BiH visited Tešanj, one of the most developed economic regions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where they held a series of meetings with representatives of the local community and leading companies. The visit aimed to strengthen cooperation, exchange information and consider opportunities for additional connections between the domestic economy and international markets.

As part of the visit, a roundtable was organized with members of the Association of Entrepreneurs "Business Center" Jelah–Tešanj, where substantive discussions were held on export potential, education and human resources, as well as the importance of the upcoming Tešanj Economic Fair. Saća Prnjavorac, President of the Board of Directors of the Association, presented the work of the organization, and the attendees exchanged views on the challenges and prospects for economic growth in the region.

A meeting was also held with representatives of the Tešanj Municipal Council and the Tešanj Development Agency (TRA), during which strategic priorities related to infrastructure, digital connectivity and investments were discussed. The AmCham BiH delegation also visited TECH LAB – a modernly equipped educational space focused on the development of STEM skills, which represents a strong link between education and industry.

In addition to institutional meetings, the AmCham BiH delegation also had the pleasure of visiting several extremely successful companies. During the visit to the HIFA-OIL company, the owner Izudin Ahmetlić discussed the state and future of the energy sector in BiH, with a special focus on the regulatory framework, diversification of sources and logistics innovations.

At AS Holding, the delegation had the opportunity to learn about the strategic directions and exports of the company, which is one of the leading confectionery groups in the region. Their presence on international markets, as well as the possession of numerous certificates, confirm that domestic brands can compete even in the most demanding environments.

A visit to NewCold Metal Construction revealed a story of global success that emerged from local expertise. The company, specializing in automated storage systems and logistics solutions, is today a global leader in the sector, with over 500 employees and a partnership with the Dutch company NewCold, which contributed to even greater international recognition.

We would like to thank all partners for the warm welcome and quality discussions. Special thanks go to Izudin Ahmetlić, Saća Prnjavorac and Berina Sisić for their support and organization of the visit. AmCham BiH will continue to provide support to the domestic private sector and strive to strengthen ties with international partners – with the aim of strengthening the economic competitiveness of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
