AmCham BiH Members Supporting Children and Vulnerable Groups Across the Country

The American Chamber of Commerce in Bosnia and Herzegovina (AmCham BiH) hosted a prestigious Gala Night at Hotel Holiday to mark the successful conclusion of its socially responsible fundraising campaign. The event celebrated solidarity, empathy, and a collective commitment to building a brighter future, gathering representatives of leading companies, donors, and AmCham friends.

The funds raised were allocated to eight associations dedicated to caring for children and vulnerable groups: Srce za djecu oboljelu od raka (Sarajevo), SOS Children’s Villages BiH (Sarajevo and Gračanica), PIPOL Association (Tuzla), ISKRA (Banja Luka), Vedri osmijeh (Mostar), Los Rosales (Mostar), and Prijateljska kuća (Doboj). Their unwavering commitment to supporting vulnerable communities inspired the business sector to come together and offer much-needed assistance.

AmCham BiH’s Executive Director, Nedim Hamzić, emphasized the power of community and dedication to the cause:

“I am proud to say that AmCham BiH has once again demonstrated that social responsibility is more than just a word—it’s an action. Time and again, we have proven that humanity knows no bounds and that caring for others can overcome all obstacles. This campaign united over 80 companies, showcasing that through collective efforts, we can achieve great things. AmCham will continue to be an example and inspiration for future generations.”

Amina Mahmutović, President of AmCham BiH’s Board of Governors, highlighted the importance of unity and social responsibility:

"AmCham is known for its continuous efforts to improve the business environment in our country. We are extremely pleased to be able to contribute with such a noble initiative. Coming together in a common goal of supporting the most vulnerable categories of our society is a confirmation of the power of collective action and the responsibility we have as a business community towards the wider society. Each donation collected is a symbol of hope and a great example of how the business community can become a driver of positive change. I believe that the funds raised will improve the living conditions of the beneficiaries of the services of the associations whose work we have supported, and will serve as a reminder that we can do more when we work together."

Daniel Koski, Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in BiH, praised AmCham BiH’s initiative and the efforts of its members:

"It was an honor to join the AmCham BiH’s first Gala Night.  I applaud AmCham BiH and everyone involved in this excellent evening, focusing on activities to enhance the lives of children and youth throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. The well-being of a country’s youngest citizens is a critical measure of a society’s progress. The initiatives that AmCham member companies are highlighting through their support tonight are directly contributing to building a stronger BiH and laying a foundation for the next generation to lead the country toward growth and prosperity. AmCham BiH continues to be a strong partner to the U.S. Embassy and the country’s preeminent business association.  We look forward to continuing our partnership in creating a better environment for every citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina."
