This conference served as a platform to delve into the intricacies of the transatlantic economy, valued at $8.7 trillion, demonstrating resilience amid global economic challenges and strategic disruptions.
During the conference, Mr. Hamzić had the honor of meeting with our esteemed Ambassador H.E Erol Avdovic. In their discussions, Mr. Hamzić introduced the Ambassador to the extensive work and initiatives undertaken by AmCham BiH, emphasizing our chamber’s role as a central liaison for US companies eager to explore the burgeoning market of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This meeting underscored the critical function of AmCham BiH in facilitating business connections and fostering economic growth between the two nations.
The Transatlantic Conference 2024 highlighted the unparalleled integration of the U.S. and Europe, showcasing their significance as each other's principal markets and geo-economic centers. With 16 million jobs created across the Atlantic, accounting for half of the global personal consumption and $6.9 trillion in total commercial sales annually, the event underscored the economic might and interconnectedness of these regions. Furthermore, the conference spotlighted the pivotal role of alliances in navigating the global landscape, as articulated by H.E. Fajon Tanja, Deputy Prime Minister of Slovenia and Minister for Foreign and European Affairs. Her address brought to light pressing global challenges, including the need for consistent adherence to agreements, the effectiveness of supervisory bodies, and combating climate change.
