In continuation of the activities related to the adoption and future implementation of new laws on banks organized by AmCham BiH, yesterday in Banja Luka, in the presence of about 50 representatives, the brunch was open by the topic “New laws on banks that are related to the sale of bad loans”. Mr. Goran who works with regional legal practice Karanović & Nikolić, held the presentation, a lawyer with many years of experience in the banking sector.


The participants at the brunch had the chance to find out in detail all about the new laws on banks, in the presentation by Snježana Rudić from the RS Ministry of Finance – Assistant Minister, who spoke about the problem: “Early Intervention and Bank Restructuring”, pointing out that the new law is very much needed, as the old one suffered of too many changes and regulations were no longer “adequate” in the function of the stability of the banking sector.


The Director of the Department for International Relations and Development Mr Srđan Kondić, from the Banking Agency of RS discussed the new laws on banking defining the topic of his presentation: “Regulatory challenges in the process of implementation of the new Law About banks.”


The secretary of the Nova Banka AD BL Mrs. Ivana Kantar spoke about the ways how the new laws should be applied, as soon as possible, while highlighting the practical problems with whom this particular bank was faced in the phase of implementation of the law.
