On the occasion of celebrating the 20th anniversary, this week we held a small reception event for the founding and longest members while  the 2022 will be  in this spirit as well and we are looking forward to more opportunities to celebrate this remarkable anniversary with the entire membership.

Exactly 20 years ago, in December 2001, founding companies gathered around one idea which was to establish the Chamber, the association of companies that now, 20 years later represent the influential voice of businesses and which promotes the American business values and supports American, international and local companies that work and invest in our country.

As a respectable business association AmCham BiH advocates for creation of a favourable business enviornment in Bosnia and Herzegovina. With our members we work on identifying the obstacles to fair and correct business activities, and, in the same time, strive to identify possibilities to overcome them.

We were honoured with the presence of the U.S. Ambassador to BiH Eric Nelson who hand out the awards but we also presented the award to His Excellency to express our sincere gratitude for the immense support and contribution to AmCham BiH and business community in BiH.

These special awards and appreciation certificates were presented to the founders: Coca-Cola HBC BH, KPMG BH, Logosoft d.o.o., Oracle BH and SYS Company, and the longest members: Raiffeisen BANK dd BIH, Eli Lilly BH and Unitic d.o.o. Their contribution and support along these 20 years are outstanding.

AmCham BiH secretary general, Nedim Hamzic addressed the attendees as well as the president of the Board of Governors, Amina Karic who expressed her pleasure with achieved results in 2021 and the AmCham's contribution in general.

"I think that in the last two years we have managed to implement significant activities that create positive change in the context of the economy and society of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We have shown that the voice of the business community is strong and we emphasize once again the fact that it is important to listen to it in order to move our country forward. We are very proud of the contribution of all our members through the committees, and we owe great gratitude to the US Embassy to BiH, our key partner of all our activities that we carry out", said Mr. Karic in her speech.

We thank our membership, Board of Governors and the team because this is a time when Bosnia and Herzegovina is facing economic and political difficulties, and AmCham's work to promote and protect the interests of member companies and strengthen bilateral relations with all stakeholders is more important than ever.
