The American Chamber of Commerce in BiH (AmCham BiH) and the Banks Association of BiH (UBBiH) are organizing a Banking & Finance Forum "Initiatives for a Digital Future", which will be held on Wednesday, December 1 2021, at the Holiday Hotel, Zmaja od Bosne 4 , Sarajevo, and via the Zoom platform.
Participants and panelists are decision makers, representatives of financial institutions and leaders of global and local technology companies who will talk about new business models in the banking sector, new investments, digitalization, and solutions and implementation of the most modern solutions in banking. The forum is a guide to better and more efficient regulation of the banking system.
After the introductory remarks from Mr. Berislav Kutle, Director of the Banks association of BiH and Mr. Nedim Hamzić, AmCham BiH Secretary General, a keynote speaker will be Mr. Senad Softić, Governor of the Central Bank of BiH.
The introduction to the panel discussions will be made by Peđa Sarajlić, Director of EY Sarajevo, who will present current challenges and practices of banks and regulators in the region and Bosnia and Herzegovina through a fifteen-minute presentation.
The first panel of the Banking & Finance Forum "Initiatives for the Digital Future" will provide an insight from the perspective of financial institutions and regulators and talk about the future of banking, its state of play and whether the banking sector is ready to adopt various challenges and provide best service for the clients.
The first panel will feature:
- Amina Mahmutovic, President of Steering committee BABiH, President of the Management Board UniCredit Bank d.d. Mostar,
- Berislav Kutle, CEO of Banks Association of BiH,
- Sinisa Adzic, Vice president of Steering committee BABiH, President of the Management Nova Banka a.d. Banja Luka,
- Amil Kamenica, USAID FINRA Deputy Chief of Party,
- Jasmin Mahmuzic, Director of Banking Agency FBiH.
Moderator of the first panel will be Sanela Pasic, Vice president of Steering committee BABiH, President of the Management Addiko Bank d.d. Sarajevo.
The second panel "The rise of fin-tech!" focuses on digital transformation from the perspective of fin-tech companies whose representatives will talk about the implementation of the most modern solutions in banking aimed at facilitating banks' processes and helping them improve market competitiveness.
What is the future of banking in technological and conceptual terms and what are the existing legal frameworks? These and many more questions will be answered by the panelists:
