This week in Sarajevo we attended the roundtable "Obligation to Accident Insurance at Work and Tax Treatment of Insurance Services" which aim was to introduce a legal obligation to collective insurance of workers against accidents at work in the FBiH.
On behalf of the American Chamber of Commerce in BiH, Nedim Hamzić, Secretary General of AmCham BiH, supported the initiative and emphasized the importance of harmonizing regulations in BiH and harmonizing with regulations in the EU and the region, ensuring equality for all in BiH.
On that occasion, Sabina Mujanović, President of the Management Board of Vienna osiguranje VIG, which is a member of AmChamBiH, and the President of the Assembly of the Association of Insurance Companies in FBiH, which organized a round table, explained the goal of this initiative, in terms of improving the insurance market in BiH and approaching EU trends as well as harmonization of regulations at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina, given that this type of insurance is already mandatory in other parts of the country.
In addition to representatives of the Association of Insurance Companies in FBiH, the round table was attended by representatives of the Insurance Agency in BiH, the Insurance Agency in RS, the Federal Ministry of Finance, the Insurance Supervision Agency in FBiH, the FBiH Chamber of Commerce and UNDP.
