In the last period,  through the media we all heard a lot about the project "Enhancing social protection by building capacities of civil society organizations (CSOs) in Bosnia and Herzegovina” which was implemented by CARE International Balkans, with the financial support of the Austrian Development Agency. AmCham BiH has supported this project with pleasure, along with many other organizations, chambers and companies.

The project supported the activities of five social enterprises whose founders are the following non-governmental organizations: Association of Citizens “Budućnost” (Eko Budućnost) from Modriča, the Association of Women “Maja Kravica” (OPZ Žena) from Bratunac, the Center for Responsible Democracy “Luna” (OPZ Kreativna vizija), and the Association of persons with cerebral palsy and dystrophy Goražde BPK Goražde (Životna pomoć). The goal was to empower their social enterprises in which marginalized people get a job opportunity.

You can read more about the project and the results here.

On this occasion, on 17th September 2021 in Sarajevo, the conference "Social Entrepreneurship in the Service of the Marginalized" was held, during which the results of this three-year project were presented. Several round tables were held with representatives of the authorities, non-governmental organizations, private companies, but also other relevant institutions. You can read more about the conference here.

Everyone has equal rights and opportunities in employment, is the conclusion of the implementers and donors of the project, but also our conclusion as an organization that is constantly working to improve the business climate in BiH.
