During his visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the U.S. Special Representative for the Western Balkans, Mr. Matthew Palmer, met with business leaders from BiH to discuss business and economic prosperity and opportunities and to hear directly from the business community about initiatives in different industries, anti-corruption measures, regional expansion and growth.

Nedim Hamzić, AmCham BiH Secretary General, presented AmCham's activities concerning the work of committees in the fields of digitalization, healthcare and ethics & compliance as important initiatives that will further drive change and attract investments. AmCham will further advocate the cooperation with AmChams in the region with the aim to sharing knowledge and experience, as well as the cooperation through regular activities within the AmCham Europe. Our main goal is to create strong initiatives that will lead this country towards investments. Active and strong support we receive on this level motivates us to invest even more efforts.

Along with other AmCham strategic points, we used this opportunity to stress out one fundamental activity that will in long run create strong business community, and that is investing in young potentials and leaders of this country.

AmCham BiH attended the meeting together with the Association of Employers of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Association of Employers Republika Srpska, Banking Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Bit Alliance.

Mr. Palmer thanked AmCham BiH for the work in various fields and for the effort that has been made to make the voice of the businesses heard.

We thank the U.S. Embassy to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the U.S. Ambassador, H.E. Eric Nelson, on behalf of AmCham BiH members, for the organisation of this meeting and for the chance to discuss these crucial topics.
