(Sarajevo, 29.01.2021.) A memorandum of understanding was signed today in Sarajevo between the American Chamber of Commerce in BiH (AmCham BiH) and the School of Economics and Business Sarajevo. The memorandum was signed by Mr. Karlheinz Dobnigg, President of the Board of Governers of AmCham BiH and Mrs. Jasmina Selimović, Dean of the School of Economics and Business Sarajevo.

By this memorandum it is agreed on the implementation of educational activities that have a theoretical, practical and developmental dimension. In the future, we will work on connecting students of the School of Economics and Business, who can improve their knowledge and skills through practical experience and internships within the AmCham BiH membership, and developing significant AmCham projects in contact with students and academic staff of the Faculty.

"The School of Economics and Business Sarajevo strives to provide its students the best possible conditions for acquiring knowledge, both theoretical and practical. In this context, and especially in the current circumstances caused by the pandemic, when all extracurricular activities are minimized, cooperation with the American Chamber of Commerce in BiH is a significant step for us in the further work and development of activities. One of the strongest assets of the Faculty is the strong cooperation with the business community, which allows us to continuously introduce innovations into our processes that prepare future economists for the modern labor market. I believe that the cooperation between the Faculty and AmCham BiH will produce useful projects, both for the participants in this Agreement and for BiH society as a whole", said the dean, prof. dr. Jasmina Selimović.

The School of Economics and Business Sarajevo is the only internationally accredited Faculty of Economics in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Since 2012, it has European EPAS accreditation for study programs in English, and since 2015 it also has the institutional accreditation of the oldest American accreditation company AACSB. In its work, the Faculty is fully committed to improving the quality of the education system by nurturing values such as high quality processes, academic excellence, responsibility to various segments of society, integrity and openness.

"Joining the School of Economics and Business in Sarajevo to AmCham’s network of partner institutions, confirms we both have a common goal which is to create conditions that will improve the overall business climate in our country and build a prosperous Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is extremely important for us to help the development of the youth of this country, but also to offer our AmCham members support and quality by the competent academic staff of the School of Economics and Business in Sarajevo", said Mr. Karlheinz Dobnigg, President of the Board of Governors of AmCham BiH.
