American Chamber of Commerce in BiH (AmCham BiH) held an online closing ceremony of a joint project Ensuring workforce development for  AmCham BiH member companies, during which 37 jobs were created.

"As Bosnia and Herzegovina becomes home to a growing number of small and medium-sized companies with the potential to export services to sophisticated clients from Europe and the world, the American Chamber of Commerce in BiH has recognized the need to develop professional staff to manage and address future IT challenges in BiH." , as we have stated.

This project resulted in the training of 113 people, of whom 37 have already found jobs in IT companies in BiH.

The project activities were funded by USAID through the WHAM project of workforce and higher access to markets activity, and was realized through the coordination of AmCham BiH, by uniting nine successful IT companies operating in BiH: Academy 387 Authority Partners, Lanaco, Link Group, Logosoft, MIBO Communication, Mistral Technologies, SYS Company and ZIRA face a shortage of adequately trained workforce on a daily basis.

"With the help of the USAID WHAM Activity program, we were able to present ourselves as an organization that can lead projects that improve the business environment in BiH. With our support, we also managed to define the strategic direction of the chamber towards project management and solving difficulties in our members' business." , said from AmCham BiH.

The event was also attended by the US Ambassador to BiH Eric Nelson, who praised the success of the project and stressed the importance of continuing such and similar projects in the future.
