At the 13th session of the Government of Sarajevo Canton, held on February 22, 2024, the Ministry of Justice and Administration of Sarajevo Canton presented information on the American Chamber of Commerce in BiH (AmCham BiH) initiative to implement the use of an ethical clause in public sector contracts.
By government decision, the Office for the Fight Against Corruption and Quality Management of Sarajevo Canton has been tasked with preparing amendments to relevant regulations to integrate the ethical clause into the process of allocating budget funds. Additionally, all budget users in Sarajevo Canton have been recommended to include this clause in their contracts.
This adoption represents a significant step toward enhancing business ethics and good governance, further strengthening the fight against corruption and promoting high standards in public-private sector relations. AmCham BiH will continue to support institutions and companies in implementing these principles through further initiatives and training programs.
