American Chamber of Commerce in Bosnia and Herzegovina held its Fundraising Event in Small Museum of BiH – Alley of Ambassadors. AmCham BiH hosted representatives of companies, organizations and NGOs who have joined the initiative to help flood-affected areas of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Special guest of honor at the event was Nicholas M. Hill, Charge d’Affaires of the US Embassy in BiH.

Through this event, AmCham, with its members, the broader business community and individuals who purchase tickets from 100 BAM each, realized charity event to help people in flood affected areas of BiH. All  proceeds from this event AmCham will donate to help restart small businesses and entrepreneurs in conjunction with USAID list of companies that have requested assistance in rebuilding.
While the international community has donated significant resources to respond and recover from the devastating May floods and landslides, tonight’s campaign is uniquely important.”  stated Charge d’Affaires of the US Embassy in Sarajevo, Mr. Nicholas Hill and added: “With a team of U.S., global, and local firms, the AmCham Flood Donor campaign will leverage your business expertise and resources to help local communities affected by the floods.
During the event selected companies – recipients of the AmCham funds were introduced to the donors and guests. Among them AmCham introduced ENERGOTEHNIKA Doboj (46 employees), METAL HOLAND ŠAMAC (19 employees) and ENI Doboj – South (11 employees).
Floods caused serious damage to mentioned companies, and  AmCham’s Fundraising Event will  contribute to the rehabilitation of the current situation in the recipients-companies and help them to restart their businesses.
AmCham initiative raised more than  70,000 BAM. Organizer expressed its appreciation to socially responsible companies and individuals who have given support.
