American Chamber of Commerce in Bosnia and Herzegovina held its second philanthropic gala event ”Thousands of Little Smiles”, on Saturday, May 21st, 2011 at Hotel Sarajevo. The aim of this event was to support UNICEF’s “Early Childhood Development” program.

AmCham’s philanthropic event ”Thousands of Little Smiles” brought together a number of companies who have demonstrated a high level of corporate social responsibility and donated in three diferent categories: Golden, Silver and Bronze Donor. At the same time AmCham gathered a numerous of donors who bought one or more tickets for the event thus donating to this noble goal. Thanks to our donors we collected about 50 000 KM. Funds will be allocated to UNICEF and used to support work of the centers for early chilhood development in BiH.

H.E. Patrick Moon, U.S. Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, our Special guest at the event, welcomed this initiative and stressed the importance of such activities for our society. Lejla Zukic – Krivdic, President of AmCham BiH and Florence Bauer, UNICEF Representative in BiH thanked to all donors and guests and highlighted importance of investing in our youth. All the expressed commitments were further reinforced by the short film in which we showed the centers throughout the country and listened to the centers users and beneficiaries stories.

At the end of the ceremony we awarded all donors and took joint picture.

We continued our night in more relaxed atmosphere when our guests enjoyed in the performance of the students of the Secondary Music School Sarajevo, dance group Fresh Generation and Feedback band.
